Swedish Police Shuts Down Pirate Bay – Again

‘This Friday, it became known that the Swedish Police Board will shut down The Pirate Bay, the popular file sharing site, by classifying it as a child pornography site in the blocklist that Swedish Internet Providers respect. Some time next week, an update to the blacklist will include The Pirate Bay.

This means that anyone from Sweden visiting the well-known file sharing site The Pirate Bay will be greeted by a block page from the Police Board saying they’re not allowed to visit child pornography sites.

“This is a devastatingly ignorant abuse of the trust relationship between the Internet world and the Police that was created in order to stop child pornography”, says Rick Falkvinge, leader of the Pirate Party. “Once given the means to shut down unwanted sites, the Police uses the filter to shut down the Pirate Bay after the failed attempt last year. And just like last year, through abuse of procedure.”‘

Sexy slices at the door

‘Local entrepreneur Corey Wildeman has launched Porno Pizza, a delivery-only pizza business that places pornography where you would usually find only cardboard — under the pizza. [..]

Although customers can’t pick which saucy image they will receive, the owner would like to offer more specific choices in the future.

“It runs the full gamut. There are some that are very Playboy-esque and others which Larry Flynt would blush at,” he said, describing the photos sent out with orders.

What has surprised Wildeman the most since opening is his clientele.

“It’s about 75 to 80% female that are placing the orders and are taking orders at the door,” he said.’

Iran moves to execute porn stars

‘Iran’s parliament on Wednesday voted in favor of a bill that could lead to the death penalty for persons convicted of working in the production of pornographic movies.

With a 148-5 vote in favor and four abstentions, lawmakers present at the Wednesday session of the 290-seat parliament approved that “producers of pornographic works and main elements in their production are considered corrupter of the world and could be sentenced to punishment as corrupter of the world.”

The term, “corrupter of the world” is taken from the Quran, the Muslims’ holy book, and ranks among the highest on the scale of an individual’s criminal offenses. Under Iran’s Islamic Penal Code, it carries a death penalty.

The “main elements” referred to in the draft include producers, directors, cameramen and actors involved in making a pornographic video.’

Teacher Granted New Trial in Porn Pop-Up Case

‘A judge has granted a new trial to Julie Amero, a former substitute teacher in Norwich, Connecticut who was convicted in January on four felony counts of risking injury to minors after she was unable to prevent pornographic pop-ups from showing up on a computer in a classroom in 2004. [..]

Despite testimony that the monitor did not face the children, that Amero asked for help from other teachers and a vice principal, and that the schools IT administrator allowed the school’s filtering software to expire, Amero was found guilty.

Security experts around the internet have rallied to Amero’s defense, arguing that it is clear that the computer Amero was using was infested with pop-up software, but the school’s IT administrator told the jury he’d never heard of such software.’

One in three porn viewers are women

‘Record numbers of Australians are visiting pornographic websites, including sexually explicit dating sites – and one in three of them is a woman.

Surprising new figures show more than one-third of internet users visited an adult website at least once in the first three months of this year.

Almost one in five was under 18, and 5 per cent were 65 or over.’

‘Sex addict’ sues over firing

‘A man in the US is suing IBM for $5m (£2.5m) in a wrongful dismissal case after he was fired for visiting adult internet chat rooms while at work.

James Pacenza, 58, says he was addicted to online chat rooms and that IBM should have offered him sympathy and treatment instead of firing him.

The Vietnam War veteran says he has suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder since 1969.

He argues that he used the internet to control his psychological problems.’

Child Find PEI bracelet led children to porn site

‘A couple of weekends ago, Diana Getson took her nine-year-old son to a Child Find event in Charlottetown. Treat bags were on sale for $1.

In the bag she bought for her son was a bright yellow bracelet with the Child Find logo and an invitation to win great prizes by visiting a website called getrealfruitminis.com.

But the prize turned out to be a surprise when Getson’s son typed in the address. The site offered “hard-core nudity and dirty porn pictures,” Getson said. [..]

Coincidentally, Child Find PEI has an information session coming up soon to warn parents to keep watch over what their children find on the internet.’

Jared Fogle, The Pornography Guy

‘You’ve come to know and love him as Jared Fogle, the guy who lost over 200 pounds by eating nothing but Subway sandwiches alone. As a result, he went from being just plain ol’ “Jared” to the much more exciting “Jared Fogle, the Subway Guy.”

Well, it turns out in college, the All-American Jared was known for something entirely different. According to our source, while studying at Indiana University, Fogle ran a very successful pornography rental company out of his bedroom. His porn collection was vast and extensive, and Fogle took his business pretty seriously. A video would run a patron a dollar a day (cheap!), and people would come from all over to take advantage of the deal. Needless to say, Jared had enough porn to keep his customers happy.’

Falsely accused paedophiles were actually victims of credit card fraud

‘More than 7,000 – including rock star Pete Townshend – were said to have downloaded child-porn images from a U.S. website.

But an investigation has found that many of those charged as part of the police inquiry codenamed Operation Ore were innocent and their card details had been used illegally.

Simon Bunce, who was accused of using the Texas-based Landslide website, said he was certain his personal information had been used fraudulently. Police found no evidence on his computer but his credit card details were found on the site.

“Thirty-nine people committed suicide after being accused of what I was accused of,” he said. “I reacted in a different way. I investigated it diligently and I established I was the victim of credit card fraud.”‘

Blogs Now Infested With Offensive Content

‘The Internet’s blog sites have become overgrown with a variety of unpleasant content, including porn, offensive language, hate posting, and malware, a new threat analysis has suggested.

According to Scansafe’s Monthly Global Threat Report for March 2007, a surprisingly high percentage of the Internet’s blog sites — up to 80 percent — contain “offensive” content, with six percent hosting active malware.

To be added to the list of those deemed potentially offensive within a business context, a site merely had to contain a single post containing profanity, or worse.’

Klaus Harmony – The Mozart of Porn

‘Born in Baden in 1941, Klaus Harmony was the foremost German composer of erotik film scores in the 1970’s, crafting music for over nine classic movies in just thirteen years. In collaboration with filmmaker and long time friend, Friedrich Wohlfäht, he expanded and thrust the genre beyond its known limits until his tragic death in an unexplained explosion during a visit to a second-hand music store in London’s east end.’

Two cautioned over wi-fi ‘theft’

‘Neighbours in Redditch, Worcestershire, contacted police on Saturday after seeing a man inside a car using a laptop while parked outside a house. [..]

BBC Midlands Today correspondent Dr David Gregory said the cases are among the first of their kind.

He added that if people were using someone else’s network to enter illegal porn sites, for example, it would be very difficult to trace them.

The man arrested at the weekend was cautioned for dishonestly obtaining electronic communications services with intent to avoid payment.

He attracted attention from neighbours in the early morning, as he had put up cardboard around his car windows but the light from his computer could be seen through the back window.’

An excerpt of a recent conversation I had:

Porn swap sparks defense leak furore

‘Three Japanese naval officers who swapped pornography on their computers triggered a scandal over a possible leak of sensitive data linked to Japan’s missile defense system, a newspaper said Thursday.

Police launched a probe last week after a navy officer married to a Chinese woman was found to have taken home a computer disk containing information about the high-tech Aegis radar system, domestic media said.

Aegis is used on Japanese destroyers that are to be fitted with SM-3 missile interceptors from this year as part of the missile defense program.

The officer told police he accidentally copied the confidential data onto his computer’s hard disk when copying porn from a computer belonging to a crew member from another destroyer, the Yomiuri newspaper reported.’

Prosecutors Request Prison Time for Indonesian Playboy Chief

‘Prosecutors have demanded a judge impose a harsh two-year prison sentence for the editor-in-chief of the Indonesian version of Playboy. Erwin Arnada was charged in June with distributing indecent pictures and profiting from their sale.

More than 100 Muslim protesters attending the hearing thought the prosecution’s demands were too lax. The raucous group chanted “Hang him, hang him” in the courtroom.

In April, the launch of Playboy’s first Indonesian edition, which contained no nude photos, sparked widespread public debate over morality and decency in the largely Muslim nation.’

Naughty Super Bowl Sparks Beefs To FCC

‘This year’s Super Bowl telecast generated about 150 complaints to the Federal Communications Commission, with the bulk of the beefs centering on Prince’s halftime performance and a Snickers commercial. As seen in the letters on the following pages, many correspondents were upset because they believed that the rock star was manipulating his guitar as if it were a penis. As one viewer noted in an e-mail, the “pro-homosexual theme” of this year’s event, telecast on CBS, was “disgraceful.” The writer added that “just because 6% of the population is gay,” porn did not need to be included in the broadcast. Another purportedly offended viewer was concerned that the halftime show would have an unfortunate lasting effect on his son, who “hoped to be a quarterback and now he will turn out gay…Thanks CBS for turning my son GAY.” [..]’

Naked Principal Found With Sex Toys Watching Gay Porn In Office

‘As authorities stormed into a middle school office to arrest an alleged meth-dealing principal inside, they found an even more surprising scene inside. Sources said 50-year-old John Acerra, of Allentown, was naked and watching gay pornography when they arrived at Nitschmann Middle School in Bethlehem to arrest him on Tuesday.

Acerra also had sex toys, drugs, cash and a pipe in his school office when authorities stormed his office, the sources added.

He remained jailed on $200,000 bail Thursday night, police said.’

High School Students Make Porn Film Between Classes

‘A group of Tennessee high school students are in hot water for trying to make a steamy porn movie between classes.

Four female and two male students were punished after a drama teacher caught them filming the flick in a Union County High School classroom.

Wayne Goforth, curriculum coordinator for the school district, told WATE-TV in Knoxville that the female students had stripped down to their underwear for the boys who were acting as the cameraman and emcee.’

Former England netball player Louise Crolla, 26, exposes her enhanced 32DD boobs and offers to do ‘fetish’ work on the modelling agency website.

But her headmaster will not sack her from her £30,000 supply job. [..]

He told the News of the World: “Miss Crolla is a capable and fully qualified teacher. She has passed all the relevant checks, teachers have to go through.

“On that basis at this time, she can continue to work here.”‘

1 In 3 Boys Heavy Porn Users, Study Shows

‘Is your child watching to porn? You may be surprised.

According to a new study by the University of Alberta, boys aged 13 and 14 living in rural areas, are the most likely of their age group to access pornography.

The study found that parents need to be more aware of how to monitor their children’s viewing habits.

Students were surveyed anonymously about how and how often they accessed sexually explicit media content on digital or satellite television, video and DVD and the Internet. Ninety percent of males and 70 percent of females reported accessing sexually explicit media content at least once. More than one-third of the boys reported viewing pornographic DVDs or videos “too many times to count”, compared to eight percent of the girls surveyed.’

Protect the Children From Porn

‘Next Friday, substitute teacher Julie Amero of Norwich, Connecticut, will receive her sentence — up to 40 years in prison, the press repeats with a mixture of horror and glee — for exposing children to pornography in the classroom.

It could be worse. Had some charges not been dropped, she could have faced 10 felony charges instead of four.

The prosecution claims she deliberately visited porn sites from the class computer and allowed the 12- and 13-year-olds to view the content. She claims — and evidence proves — the school computer got hit with a pop-up frenzy she didn’t know how to stop.’

Mass at Santa Fe church disrupted by porn recordings

‘Santa Fe police say an Ash Wednesday service at the cathedral was disrupted by pornographic messages from three CD players duct-taped to the underside of pews.

Santa Fe police Captain Gary Johnson says the CD players had been set to go off at 12:20 pm Wednesday during Mass in the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis.

Johnson says the recordings were full of foul language and pornographic messages.

Cathedral staff members removed the CD players, took them to the basement and called police. Church officials say churchgoers were not evacuated.’

Man’s good intentions die by the sword

‘A man said he broke into an apartment with a cavalry sword because he thought he heard a woman being raped, but the sound actually was from a pornographic movie his upstairs neighbor was watching.

“Now I feel stupid,” said James Van Iveren, who has been charged in the case. “This really is nothing, nothing but a mistake.”

According to a criminal complaint, the neighbor told police that Van Iveren pounded on the door and kicked it open without warning Feb. 12, damaging the frame and lock.

“Where is she?” Van Iveren demanded, thrusting the sword at the neighbor, the complaint said. “Where is she?” [..]

The neighbor later played for police the part of the DVD he believed Van Iveren heard downstairs.’

Anti-Porn Group Releases Documentary

‘Anti-porn group CP80 and film company Living Biography have joined forces to release “Traffic Control,” a new documentary that details what it calls the rampant rise in Internet pornography and the fight to stop it. [..]

“I can’t tell you how many stories I’ve heard, how many lives I’ve seen destroyed by pornography,” Rep. Bradley Daw, the resolution’s sponsor, said. “This is an absolute scourge on our society.”

Ralph Yarro, founder of CP80, called the Utah resolution the “shot heard around the world.”

“Utah is standing up and saying, ‘Porn is a problem,'” he said.’

Hungary may legalize porn involving 14- to 17-year-olds for home use

‘A bill modifying Hungary’s penal code could allow pornographic material involving 14- to 17-year-olds to be made and kept for personal use.

The Justice Ministry said the draft proposal, presented last month by Hungarian Justice Minister Jozsef Petretei, was in line with European Union norms which give members states the right to regulate the issue at national level.

But Opposition lawmakers attacked the proposal as “legalized pedophilia” and a family welfare group described it as “the waiting room of prostitution.”‘

Dutch judge: Peep shows are theatre

‘An Amsterdam judge has ruled that peep shows – where sex workers performing strip shows and explicit acts can be watched from booths – are a form of theatre and club owners are entitled to a hefty tax break.

“Admitting customers to peep shows is equivalent to admitting them to a theatre performance,” an Amsterdam Appeals Court judge wrote in a ruling late last month and publicized Tuesday. “The erotic character of the performance does not diminish that.”‘

50 protest porn business inside old Mission Street armory

‘Fifty soggy yet passionate picketers marched in front of the old armory on San Francisco’s Mission Street today to protest the dirty movies being shot on the other side of the brick walls.

Carrying signs reading “Shut it Down” and “Stop Sex-ploitation,” the protesters demanded that Kink.com, an online pornographer, stop its plans to make X-rated bondage videos inside the building.

But instead of backing down, Kink boasted that it had already shot three videos inside the 93-year-old armory, featuring veteran porn star Princess Donna, who was “expertly suspended above the drill court . . . with no complaints from anyone.”’

Kosher symbol on porn DVD hits nerve

‘A Teaneck rabbi has persuaded a Los Angeles-based pornographer to remove a trademark kosher symbol from the cover of a sexually explicit DVD about Israeli women.

The cover, which shows a woman striking a seductive pose, boasts that the explicit video was filmed in Israel. It also had a Hebrew letter with a “K” inside it — the same stamp of approval that the rabbi’s company slaps on thousands of kosher food products. [..]

“I just assumed that letters of the alphabet … weren’t trademarked symbols,” Cohen said Thursday. “I was wrong.”

Cohen said he initially used the symbol to make a statement that would be “tongue in cheek” and also a guarantee to viewers that the movie was the first adult feature filmed entirely in Israel with an Israeli cast.’
