Former BBC boss blames women for ‘dumb’ programming

`US authorities issued a federal order to Rackspace’s office in the US ordering them to provide Indymedia’s hardware located in London to the requesting agency. Rackspace is one of Indymedia’s web hosting providers with offices in the US and London. Rackspace complied, without first notifying Indymedia, and turned over Indymedia’s server in the UK. [..]

It is unclear to Indymedia how and why a server that is outside the US jurisdiction can be seized by US authorities.’

Man Fired For Using Computer To Search For Aliens

`Charles E. Smith, 63, told administrators he didn’t think loading the SETI software on the server was much of a problem because he ran the program only on weekends and on weekdays between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., when the server wasn’t being used, according to a disciplinary report.

Department director Tom Hayes disagreed.

The 18-year-old from Bisko near Split stopped drivers and told them they had broken traffic laws and then fined them five pounds each.’

Akemi Sato, 30, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of inflicting bodily injury. She worked at the Jujo Hospital via a temp agency. She told the police she used tweezers to rip out patients’ fingernails and toenails to alleviate stress brought on by not getting along with her co-workers.’

He got back into his car to drive away, when Darth Vader, mask, black outfit and all, suddenly materialized.

In a presumably commanding voice, the evil Sith Lord ordered the deliveryman to give up all his cash.

The pizza man hit the gas and sped off, but not before getting a good zap from what may have been a laser blaster, a light saber or perhaps just a stun gun.’
