`Flora Zimbelman says it all started 54 years ago when she put an uncooked hot dog in her sister’s suitcase.

“I don’t know what made me do it. The devil I guess,” she said.

Flora’s sister, Rose, found the hot dog when she opened the suitcase back up in Idaho, where she lived at the time.

“She mailed it back to me telling me to keep my garbage at home,” said Flora.

`A security guard shot himself in the hand Wednesday after a deputy inquired about why the guard’s gun was in its holster with the hammer cocked. [..]

The deputy asked why the gun was cocked and Melendez reportedly told him it was OK, because the safety was on.

Melendez, 36, then began to pull the gun from the holster, as Scozzafava repeatedly yelled “No!”, trying to get the man to leave the weapon where it was.

As he removed the gun, it went off, hitting Melendez in the hand just below the little finger on his left hand.’

`A 23-year-old British woman is thought to have made medical history by giving birth to three babies in two wombs. In September this year, Hannah Kersey, from Northam in Devon, had twins who were conceived in one womb, and a third daughter who grew in another.

Dr Ellis Downes, consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Chase Farm hospital in London, said: “This is so rare you cannot put odds on it. I have never heard of this happening anywhere before. It is quite amazing. Women with two wombs have conceived a baby in each womb before, but never twins in one and a singleton in the other.”‘

`Police say a drunken P-plate driver has been caught towing a friend in a bathtub through the streets of Griffith in the NSW Riverina.

The 18-year-old returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.145 when stopped just after 8pm yesterday with the bathtub attached to his utility by a rope, police say.

His friend, aged 30, was sitting in the porcelain bathtub dressed in overalls, a helmet and motorcycle boots.’

I’ve just added a new feature that allows people to report broken posts. The feature is currently enabled for logged in users only, so if you don’t have an account here you won’t see anything. But if you do have an account, a “broken!” button will appear on individual post pages. You can use this button to report any posts that have a dead link, a non-functioning video/audio embed, or any other error.

The button is only enabled on posts permalink pages, so it won’t be visible on the main page or any of the search/archives/etc.. pages. And again, only logged in members will see it. Hopefully that’s enough to stop cunts from fucking things up by reporting posts as as broken all willy nilly.

I’ve added some more stuff behind the scenes that makes it easier for me to enable extra function for signed in users. I plan to add more interesting features in the coming weeks/months. One idea I have is to make higher quality video available to those signed in, so I don’t waste bandwidth on people who don’t come back, and those that do stick around can have more of my bandwidth for themselves. Yay.. :) We’ll see how that pans out anyways.

I’ve just recently purchased some cheapish hosting that will give me a significant amount of extra bandwidth and storage space. I’m going to use this extra hosting to do something about the dead links that are slowly building up in the archives.

I’ve downloaded copies of pretty much every video I’ve linked to over the years, so I’m going to slowly start hosting these myself, as I discover broken links. If there’s a video or audio clip you really want to see but can’t get to because the page I’m linking to is no longer there, either leave a comment on that post or email me through the contact page and let me know what post it is, and I’ll see if I can put the video back up.

I just installed a plugin which gives statistics on the most popular pages, the highest rated pages and various other things like that. Hopefully more people will vote on posts they like or dislike, ’cause I’m curious to see which pages end up with the highest average ratings

Anyways, the statistics are accessible from a link on the sidebar for now. And this link too. :)

I might change the look of the stats a bit later on, maybe put some basic stats on all the pages. We’ll see how it goes. :)

`More than nine out of 10 Americans, men and women alike, have had premarital sex, according to a new study. The high rates extend even to women born in the 1940s, challenging perceptions that people were more chaste in the past.

“This is reality-check research,” said the study’s author, Lawrence Finer. “Premarital sex is normal behavior for the vast majority of Americans, and has been for decades.” [..]

The study found women virtually as likely as men to engage in premarital sex, even those born decades ago. Among women born between 1950 and 1978, at least 91 percent had had premarital sex by age 30, he said, while among those born in the 1940s, 88 percent had done so by age 44.’

`Officials with the Lafayette Police Department stand by their use of a Taser gun during a Sunday morning altercation with a nude, and allegedly combative, 29-year-old Carencro man, who would later die at a local hospital from unknown complications.

Officials are waiting on an autopsy report to determine the exact cause of Terrill Enard’s death.

According to Lafayette police Sgt. Mark Francis, police believe Enard was under the influence of some type of unknown substance. Francis said Enard was strong, aggressive, combative and unresponsive.’

When they were finished one of the nurses informed me that the cuts were all superficial ‘attention getters’ and had stopped bleeding on their own. Then she showed me the carrot. It was about half an inch across and as long as my pinky.

Me: “How the hell did he fit that in there?”
